What data does the application process

Data stored exclusively locally on your device: Transactions (date, quantity, price, notes) are stored only in a local database on your device. The operator does not have access to this data, not even technically.

Data transmitted when retrieving prices: The application communicates with the Internet solely for the purpose of obtaining the current and historical BTC price. With each such call, the IP address of your device is technically transmitted — this is a property of the HTTP protocol that cannot be prevented. IP addresses are not stored in logs and are not associated with any user data.

Data transmitted during cloud backup (if you enable it): The data backup is encrypted directly on your device using a key derived from your access code before being sent to Google Drive (Google). The application operator never sees or has access to the unencrypted backup. The terms of storage of the backup are governed by the Google terms.

What the application does not collect

The application does not contain any analytical SDKs (e.g. Firebase Analytics, Amplitude, Mixpanel). The application does not contain any advertising SDKs. The application does not send any reports on user behavior. The exception is the collection of anonymous crash logs that are not associated with a specific user and can be used to improve the quality of the application. The application does not require registration or account creation.

Cloud backup and encryption

If you enable the backup function, your data is encrypted with the AES-256-GCM algorithm before sending. The encryption key is derived from your access code and is not stored anywhere in readable form. Without knowing your access code, the backed up data is unreadable — neither for the operator nor for Google. Note: if you forget your access code, the backed up data cannot be restored. We recommend that you store your access code securely, independently of your device.

Access to device features

The app may request access to biometric data (Face ID / fingerprint). Biometrics are used solely to unlock the app on your device. Biometric data never leaves your phone and the operator does not have access to it.

Third parties

The app retrieves price data from the Coinbase public API. These calls are subject to the Coinbase terms and conditions. The app does not communicate with any third party other than Coinbase.

Your rights (GDPR)

The operator does not process any personal data of users to the extent that would give rise to the controller's obligations under the GDPR — all user data remains on your device. If you have any questions, please contact us at btc@appsdevteam.com.
